Purple Cotton Silk Jamdani Saree with Gold Bootas

A handwoven Purple Cotton Silk Jamdani saree from the weavers of Bengal.

The pallu and borders have a floral Bootis in the body & larger Bootas woven on the pallu, in golden threads. Jamdani is done with a turn weave technique where each motif is woven individually going back & forth till it is completed. This is a time consuming process. 

As with everything handloom, any natural imperfections, add to its unique charm. The actual colours might vary owing to lighting & screen calibrations.

The saree does not come with a blouse fabric.
