Baal Gopal or Krishna, distinct with his little peacock feather & babyface is just a happy sight, any time of the day. 
Made from sawdust & tamarind paste, this pair of masks are nature friendly. They are handpainted with colours made from natural pigments. Cheriyal masks were traditionally used a part of a costume for the travelling storytellers & plays they conducted narrating mythological tales. Today, these masks are more decorative.
D. Vainkuntam, a National Awardee is the only artist keeping this elusive art alive today & also teaching this kala to the traditional families. 
The art comes with a simple wall hanging mechanism in the back. It can be hung on the wall directly or even mounted on a board & framed.
