Intricate Pattachitra inspired motifs hand painted by artisans in Orissa on handcarved wood tealights. Pattachitra was a story telling art and was done on scrolls. The storytellers used them as a visual aids as they travelled villages narrating mythological stories. Today the stories and scrolls are not in demand and the artists now paint on home decor items to keep the art alive. 
The candle holders are set with a brass tealight holder, polished and treated to finish.
