A hand woven, hand-dyed brown cotton stole, embroidered by artisans in Kutch. The seemingly endless stitches & waves of Ajrakh applique work give a very fluid look to a tight cotton weave. The stole has a contrasting border.
Sized at 250 cms x 60 cms, it's length allows a lot of play.
Irfan Khatri is an awarded traditional Ajrakh artist. He started learning at a young age & today experiments his style of Ajrakh with other arts, This is one such simple & beautiful experiment.
Each piece is handmade & unique. As with anything handmade, there are some inconsistencies that make it more charming.
