Purkal Stree Shakti harnesses the talent of women who have grown up learning the art of quilting to stay warm in the Himalayan winters. They have recruited over 200 women & trained them in quilting, embroidery, applique & patchwork. The result is not just the most lovely accessories, but also financial freedom for the women who made them.

The designs are inspired by nature, the everyday life as seen & lived by the women & their absolute optimism. They are designed to bring joy.
